Free Download: gilsmusic.bandcamp.com Hi Blaze, Your spirit touched me today and I wrote a new song dedicated to the discovery of your music....I also just received my "Wanted Dead Or Alive" CD in the mail and listened this morning....Something grabbed ahold of me and I picked up my guitar and wrote this. Hope you like it....my music is always given Free. Thanks for the inspiration and thanks to your sister Marsha for encouraging me to share this. I had NO IDEA it was the anniversary of your death today until after I uploaded the song.

Thanks to our YouTube friend curiousgeorge555 (aka ~cg5) for creating this powerful video for our song Tent City. We consider this an important song for our time that brings to light a very real problem. Howard C. Holbert sent me these lyrics in March 2009 and a couple of days later I opened my newspaper to see a front page story about a Tent City. I figured that was a sign that I needed to get this one recorded so I wasted no time and recorded it right away on 3-20-09. I posted a performance video back then and then later thought of asking curiousgeorge555 to make a video for the song. The video now features professionally mastered audio by: www.acmastering.com curiousgeorge555 has some great videos on his channel at www.youtube.com Lyrics written by Howard C. Holbert's Original Songs at: www.youtube.com There is a Tent City goin up in my town Where every other neighbor can be found No more flat screen tv's or video games Policeman there are Takin' everybody's name Smell the soup cookin in an old coffee can an American flag wavin' above an old man I never thought these times were just ahead So many homeless With no place to lay their head See the Tent Cities Springin' up all around Doesnt seem to matter where you go In the big cities Or in the small towns Might even be someone There you know Might even be someone There you know Bailouts for bankers and the corporate elite no bailouts for you no ...

Wrote this song on the evening of 5/19/10 when the idea hit me and scribbled it down on a note pad and put it in my pocket. When I wrote it I was hearing a sort of country western melody. Finally got a chance to type it out and record it yesterday. The music I ended up with is nothing like what I heard when I wrote it but that happens a lot.
