Hey Matthew, thanks for hangin' in there! I was on a bit of a hiatus from running this site and things went a little crazy! I did a full cleanse of the BS on here and got rid of about 60+ members. Let me know if you see anymore spam and I will take care of it. Also, let me know if you would be interested in having moderator privileges on here. You have been on here long enough! That way you can boot people too!!

Matthew, I just gave a first listen to the new Fireheart. Excellent recording and excellent musicianship! Fireheart is a sextet tour de force that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and when it's over, panting I yearned for more! Great work Matthew, hearty congratulations!

The new audio from SummerTrios replaces the old recording of Fireheart at the top of my playlist!

Excellent Matthew, thanks for the update. I look forward to hearing Fireheart when the audio becomes available. From your photos, it appears as if you have a nice sized chamber orchestra, 54321 strings, and I assume winds and brass in 2's, with harp and piano.

Last week's trip for the world premiere of Fireheart was very successful. I expect to have audio next week. Photos at:

Ha - I hope the performance goes well - sometimes first performances can be, how shall I say, a bit dodgy! Where will it be premiered?

Yes, it's always a pleasure to work with performers of such high musicianship. Also, your piece Fireheart must've been quite a challenge as well, frantic yet very musical!

Hi Matt,
I've enjoyed your piece (in flash player) - love the textural changes and spaces created within the piece, the feeling of suspended animation. Also, I really like your solo flute excerpt on your website - exceptional!
cheers,
Rob
