Gifted and aspiring Singer/ Songwriter Terri G is the latest pop sensation to grace the airwaves. Terri, a native of Massachusetts, began her career in first grade as a choir girl. She devoted her childhood and teen years as a singer and pianist but took a break from her career for much of the 80’s and 90’s in order to raise a family. In 2003 her continued interest in songwriting culminated in the release of her first demo "From The Heart," a foreshadowing of Terri’s return to the stage. Since then, she has consistently entertained music lovers everywhere with her introspective genre of songs. She has built dedicated fan bases across the country thanks to her performances nationally as well as, prisons, countless charities, radio programs and concerts.
Her work blends the angelic voice of Enya, the toe-tapping hype of Shania Twain and the rich, spiritual sound of Amy Grant. Songs such as “The Rescue” are a testament to her musical and lyrical prowess. "The Rescue” was honored by Melodic Records and placed on a 2CD compilation album at CDbaby and amazon with all proceeds going to charity to help bring relief to the people in Haiti.
In May 2008, Terri won a director’s choice award in the Nashville International Song and Lyric Contest from Paramount Group for her song entry “Walked Away.” As a writer and pianist, she identifies the theme, composes the lyrics and develops the melody for all her work.
Terri is also an accomplished poet. Her poetry is distinct from her song-writing displaying a unique perspective and original creativity. In 2004, she received an Editor's Choice Award featured in the deluxe hardbound edition "Tracing the Infinite" from the International Library of Poetry for her poem titled "Where is my Spoon?”
Terri released her first debut album "I Will Sing" with Tate Publishing nationwide September 7, 2010. Available now at www.tatepublishing.com, iTunes and Amazon stores.
